We have been learning about keeping warm and dry in Winter. The children tested different fabrics in the water tray, to see if they were waterproof.

“It’s slippery.”

“It’s made my hands wet.”

“The ice is melting.”

We filled some containers with water and put them in the freezer. When we got them out the next day, the water had turned to ice. The children explored what happened when they held the ice.

“It’s freezing cold!”

“The ice is all hard. The water was runny.”
